Face: Visual Observations and Fantasies, by new media artist Federico Seco de Lucena

Passable was excited to present new media art by guest artist Federico Seco de Lucena. Federico creates drawings, paintings, and digital images emphasizing aesthetics in a multi-layered way. His works are at times interpretations of nature, or superimposed imaginary fantasies.
With this show he explored the concept of the subject in a nostalgic way, investigating the dynamics of the subject, including the manipulations of its effects and the limits of spectacle based on our assumptions of what the subject means to us. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination.
